What kind of food do you have a home? We might be able to find something similar at least. We can also try a different city if you'd like.

Japanese is the closest, but it's not the same. Can't even get a bowl of yadon'udon.

[And now, the most flippant reply ever - though it's clear it's one of his favourite dishes.] Slowpoke tail udon. It's the best thing ever. It's made with the tail of a slowpoke. Not all of it. Just a few slices quartered. Costs an arm and a leg but dad used to get it for cheap. Hmph. I don't know why it's like that when overseas it's cheap. Plus the tails regrow.
